Cookies we use

Dormetrics keeps cookies to a minimum. We set only the small, strictly-necessary cookies the product needs to work — no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no selling of data.

Cookies we set

• sd_session — keeps you signed in after you log in. HttpOnly and signed. Lasts about 90 days. Strictly necessary.
• sd_device — an anonymous device id so we can count your free checks fairly without an account. Contains no personal data. Lasts about a year. Strictly necessary.
• sd_oauth — a short-lived security token used only during “Sign in with Google” to prevent request forgery. HttpOnly. Expires after about 10 minutes. Strictly necessary.
• sd_co — a short-lived checkout token that ties your payment to this browser so your purchase is credited correctly. HttpOnly. Expires after about 30 minutes. Strictly necessary.
• sd_ref— remembers a referral code so the person who referred you is credited if you buy. Set only if you arrive from someone's invite link. First-party only, no cross-site tracking, and readable only by our server. Lasts 30 days. Functional.
• sd_src — records, in one broad bucket, which channel you arrived from (for example social or search) so we know which outreach helps. We set this only if you arrive from a channel we can name. If you come to the site directly, no such cookie is set at all. It feeds daily totals only — we keep no record of you as an individual. First-party and readable only by our server. Lasts 14 days.
• sd_camp — if you arrived by clicking one of our ads, this records the short name of that ad campaign (for example deposit-scam) so we can stop paying for ads that help nobody. It names a campaign, never you, and like sd_src it feeds daily totals only. Not set if you arrive directly. First-party, readable only by our server. Lasts 14 days.

No longer set: sd_lang remembered a language choice back when the site had an English/Dutch switcher. The product is English-only now and we no longer set it; if your browser still holds one from before, it expires on its own.

Analytics — without cookies

We measure traffic with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which are privacy-friendly and cookieless: they set no cookies, build no cross-site profile, and don't identify you. We use the aggregate numbers only to see which pages help people.

No advertising or tracking cookies

We run no ad networks and embed no third-party trackers, so there are no marketing or profiling cookies to consent to.

Why there's no cookie banner

Under EU ePrivacy rules, consent is required for non-essential cookies. Ours are either strictly necessary, functional, or — in the case of sd_src— first-party measurement that does nothing but add one to a daily total. We store no record of you as an individual anywhere, and our other analytics set no cookies at all. On that basis no consent banner is legally required, so we don't nag you with one.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Clearing sd_session logs you out; clearing sd_device resets your free-check counter. Questions? Email hi@dormetrics.com.
